Anushi works with maraa as a facilitator and a researcher towards promoting participatory approach to communication. Her work is centered on community radio and media policy. Her work with community radio has made her explore diverse terrain of gender and sexuality, arts, public space and issues of public health, education and local governance. She claims to be not interested in television news anymore but being a former journalist, her fascination secretly continues. She still gets intrigued by what constitutes news and its articulation and presentation. This has also led her to explore issues of ownership and concentration in Indian media. She likes to write and tell stories but these days its sound that has been fascinating her.
